The economics of book selling in the UK.

From the Times of London 3rd Jan 2008

"Of 200,000 books sold last year, 190,000 sold fewer than 3,500 copies. More damning still, of 85,933 new books published, as many as 58,325 sold an average of just 18 copies."

These figures make depressing reading for anyone in business. Maybe a decent ebook reader will change this. Kindle mark 2 maybe ?

Books cost around £7 ($14), it's too much. The right device will completely change the publishing model in this age of P2P everything.
